Welcome to Kentucky Health

Kentucky Health formerly Kentucky Health a cooperative effort between The African American Health Initiative, Inc. (TAAHI) and the IT Imaging and Television Services of the University of Louisville. The goal of Kentucky Health is to raise the "Health IQ" of those who have either limited access to health information, and or have a demonstrated lack of awareness of health matters. Topics discussed are germane to all segments of Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, and Southern Indiana, but we target African-Americans, other minority groups, and those in lower social economic groups.

The show is hosted by Dr. Wayne B. Tuckson. Production is under the direction of Mr. Bob Knaster and Ms Janet Valentine of the IT Imaging and Television Services at the University of Louisville.

The format is informal with a discussion between the hosts and the invited guest. Guests include physicians, other health care professionals and laypersons with unique perspectives. Pre-recorded "man in the street" responses, related to questions on that segments topic are interwoven into the show and serve as discussions points.
